Release #198 on Stripped Recordings is ready and we have revisited a previously released track which has received not one but two re-interpretations by Berlin's sascha braemer the prolific producer / dj and owner of the excellent What I Play Records. His works solo and collaborative with the likes of Jan Blomqvist, NICONÉ, Miyagi, Dan Caster plus some quality remixes and big hitting tracks on the likes of Stil vor Talent and Katermukke and you have an artist who's won much deserved critical acclaim from all corners sending him to regular gigs all over the planet.
The track in question is Donatello & Shane Blackshaw "Catch 23" which was originally released at the beginning of the year on vinyl with a digital release following. Sascha has put his stamp firmly on the release with his Day & Night Remixes sending the track off in another direction from the Original & Kastis Torrau Mixes. Enchanting people onto the dancefloor has been his mission for quite some time now and somehow this mission has turned into a never-ending frenzy, a frenzy that controls his life now. And with these two mixes we think he has done exactly that.
On 1980 Recordings, “4/4 #40” nails the ominous element of techno & deep house, delivering dance songs with an ominous edge. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 16, 2019
“Void Universes” was “inspired by the teachings of quantum psychologist Stephen Wolinsky,” & the music is appropriately expansive. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2018
